News) George Uttomark,
former hardware merchant of Ladysmith, and for twenty years a
resident of this community, passed away Tuesday evening, May 24,
1927, at St. Joseph's Hospital at Chippewa Falls. Death resulted
from complications of diseases, the immediate cause of death being
pneumonia. Funeral services will be held at Weyauwega today,
Friday, at 2:30 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church and the body laid
to rest beside the remains of his wife who preceded him in death
last August. Mr. Uttomark was
born in Weyauwega 76 years ago and located in Ladysmith in 1907,
and outside of about two years spent on a farm near Glen Flora, has
been in the hardware business practically all the time since. Last
July he disposed of his business here and his health failing him
following the death of his wife, made his home with his daughter,
Mrs. Guy Hill, at Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., since early this
spring. A month ago he took a turn for the worse and was removed to
the hospital at Chippewa Falls, where he steadily failed until his
death Tuesday. Surviving the
deceased are two brothers, Nelson of Seymour, Wis., and Henry of
Marion, Wis., and two daughters, Mrs. G. D. Hill of Neillsville,
