NEILLSVILLE PRESS (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 06/23/1927 Rice, Henry (1848?
- 5 JUN 1927) Henry Rice, a
veteran of the Civil War, and for a number of years a resident of
Clark County, Wis., died at the home of his son, Rollie Rice, in
the town of Irving, Jackson Co., June 5, 1927, aged 79 years. When
a mere boy, he enlisted as a soldier in the Civil War and served to
the close. He was married at Humbird, Clark County in 1874, his
wife dying about 16 years ago. In 1883 he moved to Jackson Co. and
followed farming for many years. Several years ago he came back to
Neillsville and bought a house near the depot, which he occupied
for several years. While here he was married again , this wife also
dying later. He is survived
