ALOIS TICHY

Funeral Services were held Wednesday from the Georgas funeral home for Alois Tichy, 84, of Memorial Home, who died here Sunday. The Rev. William Dushek of the Methodist Church officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville cemetery.

Mr. Tichy was born June 18, 1883, in Yugoslavia. He received his education in Europe and came to the United States, locating in Chicago, IL. He worked there as a cabinetmaker for 10 years.

The family moved to Clark County, where Mr. Tichy farmed for 32 years in the town of Levis. He retired in 1947, moving into Neillsville. For the last 18 months he had been a resident of Memorial Home.

He was married September 2, 1903, to Frances Pesava, who died in 1962.

Mr. Tichy is survived by seven children: Mrs. Frank (Frances) Holotik of Brookfield, IL; Mrs. Ann Sladek of Marshfield; Mrs. Helen Reznik of Chicago, IL, Mrs. Leroy (Emelia) Billings of Lindenhurst, NY; Steve Tichy of Mundelein, IL; Louis Tichy of Valporaiso, IN; and Charles Tichy of LaCrosse. Other survivors include 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
