NEILLSVILLE PRESS (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 07/28/1927 Swoverland, Eva
(10 Jul 1927) Mr. Arthur Diercks
and Miss Eva Swoverland were quietly married at the home of the
groom's parents, July 10, 1927, Rev. Pohlman of Loyal, Clark
County, Wis. officiating. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Carl
Diercks. The bride was
becomingly gowned in a dress of blue flat crepe and carried an arm
bouquet of roses and carnations. The groom wore a suit of gray. The bride, whose
home is at Tony, Wis., is a comparative stranger here, but makes
friends readily through her pleasing personality. She will be
welcomed to this community. The groom is the
second son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Diercks of the town of York, Clark
County. Except for one year spent in Milwaukee at the carpenter
trade, he has always been employed in this vicinity. He is one of
York's finest young men and his splendid character and genial ways
have won for him a large circle of friends. In the evening
they were given a rousing charivari. The Saturday evening following
their marriage a shower was given in their honor at which they were
the recipients of many beautiful gifts. They will make
their home with the groom's parents, which farm they will carry
on. Their many friends
join in wishing them the best there is in life. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
