Theresa Blaasch

Theresa M. Blaasch, 86, Greenwood, died Thursday, March 25, 2004, at Neillsville Memorial Home, Neillsville. Funeral serVices were held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 29, at Grace United Methodist Church, Greenwood. The Rev. Mary Anne Conklin officiated. Burial was in the Greenwood City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jon Hanson, Dick Larson, Larry Rondon, Jess Johnson, Bob Cummings and Michael Stelzleni.

Theresa Mary Arends was born on June 26, 1917, in Greenwood, to John and Gladys (nee Cummings) Arends. She was raised and educated in the Greenwood area, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1935. She attended Wausau Business College for one year and graduated from Eau Claire Teachers College in 1941. She married Harold Blaasch on May 23, 1941, in Greenwood. They resided in Withee, where she taught school until 1949, at which time they moved to Greenwood. She did substitute teaching for many years at Greenwood. Her husband, Harold, died on July 4, 1985. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Greenwood American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include cousins and friends.
