Erpenbach died Jan. 10, 1928, while on a visit at the home of her
daughter in Cashton. While there she was stricken with
pleura-pneumonia and lived but a short time. Mrs. Erpenbach's
maiden name was Wilhelmina Osterman. She was born in Vienna,
Austria, June 1, 1878. Her father died when she was three months
old and later she came to America with her mother and settled at
Parrons, S. D. In 1896 she was married to Peter Erpenbach and they
settled on a farm in Monroe Co., living there until 1921, when they
moved to the town of Weston in Clark County. To Mr. and Mrs.
Erpenbach five children were born, two of who preceded the mother
in death. Those surviving are Mrs. Anton Geier of Cashton, Miss
Stella Erpenbach in Milwaukee and Anton Erpenbach at home. Besides
the husband and children she leaves to mourn her death her aged
mother, a half-sister and 7 grandchildren. Mrs. Erpenbach was
a good woman in every way and will liked by all who knew her. The funeral was
held Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville, Rev.
Peter Weber officiating. Those from away
who attended the funeral were Mrs. Anton Geier of Cashton, Mr. Carl
Bever and children of Cashton, Miss Stella Erpenbach of Milwaukee
