1848 - 27 Jan 1928) Mrs. Emma Wood
died at her home in Granton, Clark County, Wis. Jan. 27, 1928, aged
80 years and 1 month. Deceased was born in England and came to this
country with her parents when she was five years old. She lived for
some time at Osseo and after the death of her husband she came to
Granton where she had come old friends, bought a home and has lived
there for the past 6 or 7 years. She was well liked
by all who knew her, and did all she was able in helping the
community affairs, being a worker in the Sunday School and Ladies
Aid. She leaves one son who lives at Oshkosh, and a son who is an
invalid at Augusta. She also leaves one brother, who home is at
Horicon. The funeral was
held at Granton Monday, Rev. Wilson Mallory officiating. The
remains were taken to Osseo, where burial took place in the family
