NEILLSVILLE PRESS (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 09/29/1927 Luchterhand,
Lizzie (21 Sep 1927) The Trinity
Evangelical Lutheran Church of Loyal, Clark County, Wis. was the
scene of a very pretty wedding Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 21, 1927,
at 2 o'clock, when Miss Lizzie Luchterhand, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. F. C. Luchterhand, and Mr. Edward Greeler, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Greeler of Neillsville, were united in marriage, Rev. Daeger,
pastor of the Veefkind Church, performing the ceremony. The bride was
gowned in a beautiful white georgette dress, and wore a veil. She
carried a bouquet of pink roses and daisies and was attended by
Miss Myrtle Schwantes, who wore peach georgette crepe, and Miss
Vera Vick, who was gowned in pale green georgette crepe. They each
carried bouquets of asters and daisies. The groom wore a
navy blue suit and was attended by his brother, Mr. George Greeler,
and Mr. Jake Heasler. The ushers at the
wedding were Mr. Erwin Greeler and Mr. Wm. Naedler. The wedding
ceremony was followed by a reception of over eighty guests at the
home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Luchterhand. The
bride's table was beautiful, being decorated with huge bouquets of
pink asters, and the pyramid wedding cake, topped with a tiny bride
and groom, , was also decorated in pink and white. The dining room
was decorated in pink and white crepe paper and asters. The
waitresses were Misses Clare Thomas, Florence Pink, Alma
Luchterhand and Elsie Hensler. After supper the
evening was spent in playing cards and dancing, Stanley Rhode
Orchestra furnishing the music. The bride is a
graduate of the Loyal High School and has been employed at Colby's
Store for some time, where she acquired many friends. The groom, whose
occupation is farming, is a man of good character and sterling
worth. Mr. and Mrs.
Greeler also entertained friends at a wedding dance at Pischer's
Thursday evening, which was attended by a large crowd. They left Friday
morning by auto for several days' wedding trip to Milwaukee, Beaver
Dam, Harvard, Ill., and other places, and will be at home to their
many friends after Oct. 15, at the Frank Greeler farm near
Neillsville. Their many friends wish them a long and happy wedded
life. The out of town
guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Luchterhand, Jr. and
son of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Luchterhand and family of Colby,
Mr. and Mrs. Julius Luchterhand of Unity, Mr. and Mrs. Freeman
Shupe and family of Auburndale, Mr. and Mrs. George Rupprecht and
