French, Mabel (? - 2 March 1926)
A letter from Miss Bessie Tifft at Los Angeles, California, states that her sister, Mrs. Mabel French, died there on Tuesday, March 2, and was buried at Ingelwood Park cemetery on Friday. Her death was due to tuberculosis, from which she had suffered for over a year. She was taken to a sanitarium last May and for a time seemed to gain, but had a relapse and gradually failed. She was brought to the home of her mother a few weeks ago and there remained till the end came. Mabel was the daughter of Mrs. J. E. Tifft and was born and grew to womanhood here and will be remembered as a beautiful and vivacious girl. Here mother, sister, Bessie and her two children, Mercedes and Ellwood French were will her at her death, which was peaceful and painless at the last. She was conscious until the moment when death came.
Neillsville friends extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved ones.
Two sisters, Ollie and Stella, both grown up young ladies, died here many years ago.
