NEILLSVILLE - Laura Subke, 77, of Neillsville died Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Interment will be in the Hatfield Cemetery in Hatfield. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, both at the funeral home.

She was born on April 26, 1927, in Merrillan, the daughter of Fred A. and Lillian M. (Heneise) Wallmuth. She was united in marriage to John H. Subke on Feb. 15, 1947, in Neillsville. He preceded her in death. Along with raising her family, Laura also worked as an assembler at Nelson Filter Factory for 231Ú2 years, retiring in 1988.

Laura is survived by three daughters, Joann L. (Jon) Elertson of Watertown, Debra M. (Gordon) Hansen of Neillsville and Susan M. (Tom) Francis of LaCrescent, Minn.; one son, Donald J. (Judy) Subke; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice (Richard) Hanby of Black River Falls; and one brother, Fred (Florence) Wallmuth of Janesville.
