Brown, Elmer (1926)
ELMER BROWN HEARD FROM
C. B. Dresden had a letter from Elmer Brown containing the information that Mr. and Mrs. Brown arrived safely at Portland and their car of household goods also got there on schedule time. They have bought a fruit farm 4 ½ miles from Clackimas, Oregon, 14 miles from the center of Portland and 7 miles from the city limits. They have moved out and are partly settled. Strawberries are now ripe and cherries nearly ripe. They will have plenty of apples, pears and prunes. Mr. Brown will buy a few cows which range in price from $60 to $135.
