Jansen, Rose Emily (Marriage - 15 June 1926)
Tuesday morning, June fifteenth, the Catholic Church at Bakerville was the scene of the very pretty wedding of Miss Rose Emily Jansen of Chili and Mr. William M. Lauer of Granton. The ceremony took place at 9:30 with a singing high Mass conducted by Reverend Father Mueller.
The bride was beautifully gowned in white satin and silver, wearing a wreath and veil, and carried a shower bouquet of roses. The bridesmaids, Misses Sophia and Gertrude Jansen, sisters of the bride, wore tinted shades of pale green and pink satin gowns and carried bouquets of roses and sweet peas.
The groom was attended by Mr. Joseph Lauer of La Crescent, Minn., brother of the groom and by Mr. Carl Johnson of Wisconsin Rapids, an intimate friend.
Little Dolorus Henseler of Bakerville acted as flower girl and ring bearer.
After the wedding a three course wedding dinner was served at the bride’s home, to near relatives.
The same day the newly weds left on a trip to Appleton, Manitowoc, Sheboygan, Milwaukee, Chicago and Wisconsin Dells.
They expect to be at home after July first at Granton where the groom owns a fine cheese factory.
Their many friends wish them a long and happy wedded life.
