Spranger, Marie (29 March 1871 - 27 May 1926)

Mrs. Rudolph Spranger passed away Thursday morning, May 27, at her home in the town of Weston, after an illness of only a few days. She was born in Germany March 29, 1871, making her 55 years, 1 month and 27 days old at the time of her death. She came to this country with her parents when she was 17 years of age and worked in Neillsville until she married to Rudolph Spranger April 7, 1893. They settled on a farm in the town of Weston which remained their home the rest of their lives. To Mr. and Mrs. Spranger were born 10 children, 3 of whom died in infancy. Mr. Spranger died about 3 years ago; 2 sons and three daughters are left to mourn their mother’s death: Louie at home; Minnie, Mrs. Chas. White, Neillsville; Dorothy, Mrs. R. Dillenbeck, Greenwood; Jennie, Mrs. H. Schoenwetter, Neillsville; Martha, Mrs. O. Dimler, Greenwood; Gerhardt and Margaret at home.

She was a kind and loving mother and a good neighbor, ever ready to extend a helping hand to all about her.

She will be sadly missed in the home by her children and by the entire community.

*Got Mrs. Sprangler’s first name from Rudolph’s obit.
