Schwellenbach, Ed. (25 Aug. 1877 - 9 July 1926)
Ed. Schwellenbach, a prominent farmer, died at his home in the town of Weston on July 9, after several months illness. He was born at Jefferson, Wisconsin, August 25, 1877. He came to Clark County 20 years ago and lived for a time at the home of his sister, Mrs. Mike Prock, then living in the town of Weston. On March 17, 1909, he was married to Nettie Bahr. They settled on the Albert Bahr farm in Weston, which was his home until his death. He as an industrious, honest citizen, an excellent farmer, managing his work an business carefully, and has the respect of all who knew him. His wife preceded him in death, April 17, 1922. He is survived by 5 children, Ben aged 16, Edna 15, Isabel 13, Ernest 8 and Adaline 5. He leaves also one sister, Mrs. Mike Prock, of Neillsville, two brothers, Joseph of Weston and Roland of Fort Atkinson.
The funeral was held Monday at St. Mary’s church, Neillsville, Rev. Peter Weber officiating. Burial took place in St. Mary’s cemetery.
Those from a distance who attended the funeral were Peter Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. Feckler of Loyal; Mrs. August Moelling and Mrs. Albert Bahr of Marshfield.
