Greenwood--Mandolin and Guitar Club (1900)
Transcriber: Laurel Bragstad Schaub
A mandolin and guitar club was formed Saturday evening at the home of Miss Mabel Bishop, the members of which are Misses Mabel Bishop, Gail Sheets, Alice Miller and Abby Edwards; and Dr. Baker, F. W. Shrimpton, August Noetzel and A. W. Calway. It is thought that more members will be added later on. Miss Bishop was chosen unanimously as leader. Dr. Baker is to be the buyer of new music, which is to be purchased in turn by each member of the club. The meetings will be on Friday evenings as now agreed and at the home of each member alternately. The club is promising much pleasure and profit during the coming winter evenings. Gleaner 9-14-1900
