Married September 3 by the Rev. John F. Wreford at Wesley United Methodist Church were Miss Karen Sue DeVries, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harlan DeVries, Loyal, and Joel Kenneth Luttropp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Luttropp, Unity.

The bride was given in marriage by her father during the nuptials for which Earl Gamble sang, Ken Hancock was pianist and Marlen Krueger, organist.

The bride had a Victorian gown of chantilly lace with chapel train and a matching hat with veil. She carried a bouquet of burgundy and white roses with stephanotis and baby's breath.

Her maid of honor was Miss Tina Sims of Loves Park, Illinois. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Kristine Aumann of Woodlands, Texas, Miss Sandra Cole and Mrs. Sherry Clintsman of Loyal and Miss Julie Allar, Marshfield. They had dusty rose formals with lace jackets and floral wreath headpieces. Each had a fan with silk flowers. Jodi Luttropp of Berlin was flower girl.

Brian Luttropp, Unity, was best man. Groomsmen were Richard Volk of Arpin, Ben Emani of Buston, Louisiana, Charles Triplat of Pittsville and Russell DeVries, Marshfield. Seating guests were Tim Nikolai, Marshfield, and Jerry Luttropp, Berlin.

The reception and dance were at the Village Plaza, Spencer. The newlyweds plan a fall honeymoon and are living on Route1, Chili.

The bride graduated in 1982 from Loyal High School, works part-time foir Land O'Lakes, Spencer, and will attend Mid-State Technical Institue in spring. Her husband, a 1978 graduate of Colby High School, is a sales and service technician for Midwest Breeders Cooperative.
