NEILLSVILLE PRESS (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 05/10/1928 Sturdevant, James
(1842? - 6 May 1928) Word was received
here Sunday that James Sturdevant, one of the earliest settlers of
this locality (Clark County, Wis.), had passed away at Detroit,
Mich., where he made his home with a granddaughter. Mr. Sturdevant
came here with his parents as a small boy and grew to manhood here.
He followed farming for some years, and at one time owned the farm
now owned by Joe Hartung south of the city. He was about 85 years
of age at his death. Judge R. F.
Sturdevant of Neillsville is a brother of deceased. He retained his
membership in Neillsville Odd Fellows Lodge and was its oldest
member. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
