Schwentkofske died at Superior, Wis., Aug. 11, 1928, aged 73 years.
She had been in poor health for about 2 years previous to her
death. Henrietta Boettke
was born in Germany, grew to womanhood and was married there to
Fred Schwentkofske. They came to Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. 46
years ago and made their home here 38 years. Mr. Schwentkofske died
a number of years ago. In 1920 Mrs. Schwentkofske went to Superior
to be with her children. She is survived by four sons and three
daughters: Gus of Stockton, Calif.; Fred of Bremer, Minn.; Will of
Superior; Carl of Bibbon, Wis.; Laura, Mrs. W. E. Hoover; Theresa,
Mrs. Eveland and Mrs. Minnie Deland, all of Superior. She leaves
also 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Schwentkofske
was very well thought of here and many friends will sorrow to know
of her death. The remains were
brought here for burial, the funeral being held at the Reformed
Church last week Wednesday, Rev. Edwin H. Vornholt officiating. All of the
children except Gus were here for the funeral, also a
granddaughter, Mrs. John Hayburn of Duluth and Dennis O'Grady of
