(24 Feb 1857 - 12 OCT 1928) Mrs. Edward
Meihack passed away at her home in Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.
on Friday, Oct. 12, 1928, only a few days after she and her husband

been rather frail for some time and took a cold, which hastened her
death. Mrs. Meihack's
maiden name was Caroline Hoestmann; she was born in Pomerania,

and lived in Utica, N.Y. for a year, when they came to Clark
County. On June 26, 1887 she was married to Edward Meihack in a
schoolhouse in Pine Valley, then also used as a church. The same
year they went to live on their farm in the town of Weston, which
has been their home until last week. Mrs. Meihack was a
woman who did well her work in life, devoting her strength to her
home and family and to neighborly deeds of kindness. She leaves to
mourn her death her husband and seven children: Frank, George, Mrs.
Martha Dux, Rose, Mrs. Erna Vick, Alvin and Minnie, Mrs. Frank
Thoma. She leaves also 7 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Carl
Luchterhand. The funeral was
held Monday, Oct. 16th, at 1:15 at the home and 2 p.m. at Globe
Lutheran Church, Rev. Motzkus officiating. Burial took place in
