Sauerberg died Nov. 13, 1928, in Milwaukee, where she was staying
with her daughter Dora. Mrs. Sauerberg,
whose maiden name was Elsie Druetzfeldt, was born in Germany, Feb.
21, 1858 and was 70 years, 8 months and 23 days old at the time of
her death. She was married to
Fred Sauerberg on Dec. 17, 1880. In 1884 they came to America and
settled at Staunton, Ill. They lived there 6 years and moved to
Milwaukee. After living in that city 11 years, they moved to
Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. in 1901, and settled on a farm in
Pine Valley. Mr. Sauerberg died Sept. 17, 1918, and in Oct. 1925
she went to Milwaukee, making her home there with her daughter Dora
until her death. She leaves to
mourn her death four sons: Otto and Fred of Grand Rapids, Mich.,
Adolph and Henry of Pine Valley; two daughters: Mrs. August Wagner
of Pine Valley and Miss Dora Sauerberg of Milwaukee. She leaves
also 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. During her
residence here, Mrs. Sauerberg made many friends who deeply grive
at her death. She was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran
Congregation and retained her connection with this church after
going to Milwaukee. The funeral was
held Friday at St. John's Church, Rev. Wm. Baumann officiating.
