Wasserburger, Henry Sr. (1857 - 2 Mar 1929)

Henry Wasserburger Sr., who was stricken with apoplexy last week Wednesday, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 1929, at the Neillsville Hotel, where he was making his home.

Deceased was born near West Bend, Wis., and had reached the age of 71 years, at the time of his death. Most of his life was spent on the home farm near West Bend, where he remained with his mother until her death 16 years ago, when he came to Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. and retired from active work. He was a man of quiet habits, but was well liked by all who became acquainted with him. He was never married.

He leaves two brothers, Herman of Marshfield and Jacob of Monroe, Neb., and one sister, Mrs. Kate Zimmerman of St. Helena, Neb. Two brothers, Charles and John Wasserburger of Neillsville are deceased. He leaves also a number of nephews and nieces.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Charles Wasserburger, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating.

Can you tell me where the "Neillsville Hotel" was located? An old relative of mine owned it in 1910. Was it the Wasserburger building or on 5th and Hewitt? Any info would be great...
