Langreck, Janet E. (24 May 1930 – 20 April 2022)
Janet E. Langreck, 91, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Marshfield
Medical Center.
Janet was born on May 24, 1930, in Marshfield, to Russell and Elsie (Asp)
Johnson. She married Tony Pouputis on March 18, 1948, and they divorced. She
later married Bernard J. “Bennie” Langreck on June 15, 1959, in Winona, MN. He
died on October 25, 2003.
Janet was a lifelong member of the Marshfield community. She enjoyed the
outdoors, keeping her gardens and lawn manicured. She worked at Weinbrenner Shoe
Factory for 25 years. She had been employed at Figi’s in Marshfield from 1971
until 1996 and enjoyed lunches with fellow employees after retirement.
She is survived by her daughters, Betty Brey of Plover, Diane Haupt of
Marshfield, and Cindy Langreck of Eau Claire. She is also survived by eight
grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She
is further survived by a brother Russell (Jan) Johnson, Jr. of Marshfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson Trent, sisters
Geraldine Nebola, Beatrice Euler, and their husbands Elmer and Sidney.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Rembs
Funeral Home, Marshfield, where the visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until
service time. Rev. Andrew Belt will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside
cemetery, Marshfield, and serving as pallbearers will be Troy Brey, Kyle Brey,
Collin Brey, Russell Sandley, Erik Erickson and Austin Rybarczyk.
