Hoffmann, Karin F. (15 March 1943 – 24 April 2022)

Karin F. Hoffmann, age 79, of Marshfield formerly of Abbotsford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Three Oaks Health Services in Marshfield under the tender care of Heartland Hospice.

Karin was born in Abbotsford on March 15, 1943, the daughter of Elmer and Margaret (Engelking) Schraufnagel. She attended Abbotsford Schools and was a member of the Abbotsford Class of 1961. Karin was united in marriage to Robert Hoffmann on October 23, 1965, in Abbotsford. She enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her children. Karin also sold Avon for many years and was a librarian at the Dorchester Weix Memorial Library.

Karin enjoyed reading, listening to older music and watching old movies, gardening, flowers, bicycling, arts and crafts, dancing, playing the piano and in her younger years she played the snare drums. She also enjoyed visiting the elderly, caring for children and had a love for animals. Karin loved spending time with family and friends and being involved with her church community.

Karin is survived by her three children; Cory Hoffmann of Stratford, and twins, Rodney Hoffmann of Cable and Glynis Hoffmann of Marshfield; her grandson, Cole Hoffmann and two step-grandsons, Anthony and Tanner Balz. She is survived by her siblings, Al Schraufnagel, Beth Bargender, Noel Schraufnagel and Trudee Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother; Owen Schraufnagel and sisters; Gayle Thomas and Lynda Graham.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 202, ,at 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford. Don Everhard will officiate. Family and friends are welcome from 9:00 am until the time of service on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Abbotsford Public Cemetery. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is entrusted with the arrangements.
