(14 May 1928) The marriage of
Mr. Vilas Bruley and Miss Valera Sharratt is announced at Oshkosh,
Wis., May 14, 1928, in the First Congregational Church, Rev. Dr.
Beadle officiating. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Bruley of Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., and the bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Sharratt of the town of Washburn,
Clark County. The groom grew to manhood here, graduated from
Neillsville High School in the class of 1926. The past year he has
been attending Oshkosh Business College. The bride is a
graduate of Granton High School and Whitewater Normal, and has
taught for two years in Milwaukee. During the summer
vacation they plan to work in the Bruley Elevator Co. Store in Eau
Claire, and in Sept. the groom will return to Oshkosh to complete
his business course and the bride will teach in Oshkosh. The groom wishes
to announce that in the near future he will give a free wedding
