MAY 1928) Mr. Ed Berger of
South Bend, Indiana and Miss Marie Gander were united in marriage
at Orangeville, Ill., at 10 o'clock a.m., May 22, 1928. Rev. Ernest
Gander, the bride's brother, pastor of the Orangeville Reformed
Church, officiated. The groom was
attended by Mr. Lester Smith of Plymouth, Wis., and Miss Esther
Humke of Greenwood was maid of honor. The bride, whose
home was in Kentucky, has been boys' governess at the Indian School
in Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. for the past three years, her
faithfulness and skill in her work winning the commendation of the
school authorities and endearing her to the pupils and all others
with whom she was associated. The groom has been an occasional
visitor here and has made a favorable impression upon all whom he
met. He is the owner of a mint farm at South Bend, where he and his
bride will make their home after a wedding trip through Canada and
the Eastern States. Their many friends
