27, 1928, Mr. Herman Klann and Miss Marie Manthei were united in
marriage at Globe Lutheran Church, Rev. Motzkus officiating. Mr.
August Klann and Mr. Albert Manthei were groomsmen and Miss Fala
Kalsow and Miss Anita Ziegler were bridesmaids. The bride was
dressed in white georgette and carried a shower bouquet of pink
roses. The bridesmaids were dressed in pink georgette and carried
pink roses and carnations. The groom and his attendants wore suits
of navy blue. After the ceremony
a fine wedding dinner was served to a large assemblage of
guests. The groom is the
son of Mrs. Aug. Klann of Sydney, Clark County, Wis. He grew up on
the home farm and is an industrious and worthy young man. The bride
is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Manthei of Globe, Clark
County, and is a young lady of pleasant personality and fine
womanly qualities. They will live on the Klann farm at Sydney. Guests from a
distance who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kopplin
and Miss Ruth Schwanz of Chicago; Mrs. John Bartosz and Mr. and
Mrs. Wm. Klann of Portage; Mr. and Mrs. Archie Fradenburg of
Humbird; Mrs. Martin Opperman and family of Kewaskum; Miss Anita
