OCT 1928) On Saturday, Oct.
6, 1928, at 5:30 in the afternoon, Mr. John Mattson and Miss Myrtle
Hansen were united in marriage at Elgin, Ill., Rev. Yourd
officiating, the ceremony taking place at the parsonage. They were
attended by Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Helm of Elgin, Mr. Helm being a
cousin of the groom. The young couple
returned to Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. Sunday night. The groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Mattson of Neillsville. He came here with
his parents when a young boy, graduated from Neillsville High
School in the class of 1925. He attended the state university for a
year, and for some time past has been employed by Northern States
Power Co. He is a young man of activity and intelligence, and is
likely to succeed in his work. The bride is the
daughter of Mrs. Ole C. Hansen, who live on Grand Ave. After
graduation she taught a rural school successful for some time. She
has for several years been employed in the W. Dangers Store and has
made a wide acquaintance in a business and social way. She has been
very helpful at home, her mother's health being frail for some time
past. She will continue to work in the store for a time and the
young people will live at the Hansen home. The Press offers
