Mr. George A. Wilde and Miss Erna Schlinkert were married at Fort Atkinson on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 1928. The groom is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilde of Milwaukee. For some time he has been employed by the Jamesway Co. at Fort Atkinson, where he has a fine position as an accountant. He is a young man of excellent personality and good character.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Schlinkert of Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.. She graduated from the Neillsville High School in the Class of 1924. For two years she was employed in the office of George A. Ure at the courthouse and later for a time at Fort Atkinson and Milwaukee. For the past year she has had a position in the Neillsville Bank. She is a young lady of pleasing personality, and much liked by all who know her. She is efficient and courteous in her work and refined in her tastes and manners.
After the ceremony the young couple went on a wedding trip to Chicago and Indianapolis. They arrived here Friday for a few days' visit at the home of the bride's parents.
On Saturday evening a shower was given at the home, many beautiful and useful gifts being presented.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilde will make their home at Fort Atkinson, and will begin housekeeping at once.
