G. (3 Feb 1856 - 18 Mar 1929) Adolf G. Modersohn
was born on Feb. 3, 1856, in Germany. He came directly to
Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. On June 22, 1889 he was married to
Miss Louise Wegner. She died Aug. 14, 1897. In April 1898 he was
united in marriage to Miss Ottilie Kriej, who died in 1921. Mr. Modersohn
later moved to Ladysmith, where he was married to Mrs. Clara
Schaefer on June 3, 1923. Mr. Modersohn
passed away at 4:00 o'clock Monday morning, March 18, 1929, at his
home in Ladysmith after two weeks' illness. He is survived by his
wife and two step-sons, Fred and Aden Haller. The body was brought
here for burial in the family lot in Neillsville Cemetery on March
20th. Funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran Church at
12:30 p.m. on that day, Rev. Wm. Bauman officiating. Mrs. Modersohn and
the step-son, Fred Haller, accompanied the remains here from
Ladysmith and attended the funeral. Deceased had many
