1896 - 13 Apr 1929) The people of
Clark County, Wis. will be greatly grieved to learn of the death of
Mrs. Harold Branch, formerly Miss Grace Albaugh, which occurred at
the hospital in Marshfield, Saturday morning, April 13, 1929. Mrs.
Branch, who was living at Prentice, was taken with an attack of
asthma and was sent to Marshfield Hospital for treatment. Pneumonia
developed and she lived only a few days. Mrs. Branch was
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Albaugh. She was born in Oklahoma
33 years ago last January. When she was a small child her parents
moved to Richland Co., Wis., and soon after to Clark County,
settling on a farm in the town of Fremont. She completed the rural
school course in Heathville School and graduated from the Teachers
Training Department of the Neillsville High School in 1926. After a
most successful record in rural schools and attending summer
sessions in Normal School, she taught in the grades in Loyal with
equal success. In 1924-25 she served as Supervising Teacher of this
county and won the esteem of teachers, pupils and patrons of our
rural schools. On Thanksgiving
Day in 1927 she was married to Harold Branch of Prentice, where her
home has been since. She leaves her husband and baby son eleven
weeks old, her parents, three brothers, George of Shortville,
Virgil of Garden City, Kansas, Wilbur of Thurston, Neb., and one
sister, Laura, Mrs. Otto Drescher of Chili. One brother died in
1920 and another brother died in France in 1918. The funeral will
be held at Prentice, Wednesday afternoon. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
