Rusch, Bernard F. (1855? - 9 Jul 1929)

Bernard F. Rusch, one of the old residents of Thorp, Clark County, Wis., was struck by a car while walking from the village to his farm home last week Monday night. The autoist left him unconscious by the roadside, where he was found by George Haas who lives south of Thorp. Mr. Rusch was taken to the hospital at Chippewa Falls where he died the next day.

Deceased was 74 years old. He came to Thorp in an early day and was in business there for a number of years, then moved to his farm close to the south village limits.

For a time he lived in Montana, where he owned a large tract of land. Later he came back to Thorp and developed his farm into one of the best in the county.

He married Miss Elza Steele of the town of Warner, Clark County, who survives him. He leaves also two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Greene of St. Paul and Miss Susan at home, and one son, Bernard, on the farm adjoining his father's.

The funeral was held Friday at the M. E. Church in Thorp.
