Cattanach. Raymond C. (03 October 1892 - 02 October 1983)

GRANTON - Raymond C. Cattanach, 91, Route 1, Granton, died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Services will be Tuesday at Calvary Bible Church. The Rev. Joe F.A. Everett II will officiate. Burial will be in Nasonville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Allan, Daniel, Rex, and Glenn Cattanach, Roger Piquet and Kevin Halvorson.

Visitation will be at the Hanson Funeral Home.

He was born October 3, 1892 in the Town of Lincoln, Wood County, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Duncan (Margaret LaVigne) Cattanach. He received his education at Hillcrest School, Town of Rock and was a 1913 graduate of Wood County Normal School.

From 1913 to 1917 he taught school in North Dakota and homesteaded in Montana. In 1917 he returned to the Town of Rock and farmed there until 1948 when he moved to the Town of Lynn, Clark County. He had resided there since.

He married Freda Louise Knapton June 28, 1919 at he home on Route 2, Marshfield, by the Rev. P.L. Leahy of Chippewa Falls. She died September 30, 1974.

A former school board member, and a member of Calvary Bible Church and a former member of the church board, he is survived by four sons, Wayne of Route 1, Marshfield, Lyle of Route 1, Chili, Craig of Route 3, Markesan and Dale of Madison; two daughters, Mrs. Vernon (Margaret) Piquet of Route 2 Auburndale and Mrs. Irving (Inez) Halvorson of Route 3, Edgar; 27 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was also predeceased by a daughter.
