of the town of York, Clark County, Wis., and Miss Norma Walters of
the town of Grant, Clark County, were united in marriage at 2
o'clock p.m., Wednesday, June 5, 1929, at the home of Rev. and Mrs.
G. W. Longenecker, Rev. Longenecker performing the ceremony. The bride was
attended by her sister, Miss Mildred Walters and Miss Fern Metcalf,
sister of the groom; Mr. Alvin Wendt and Mr. George Lepke were
groomsmen. The bride wore a dress of yellow silk and the groom a
suit of blue serge. The groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Parker Metcalf. He was born and grew to manhood
at the farm home in the town of York, where he has helped his
father in the farm work. He is an industrious and energetic young
man. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Walters of
the town of Grant. She completed the rural school course in
Washington School and attended the Neillsville High School for some
time. Later she was employed in Milwaukee for a time. She is a
young lady of fine personality and has many friends among our young
people. After the marriage
ceremony the bridal party drove to the home of the bride's parents,
where a reception was held for relatives and near friends. The
rooms were prettily decorated in yellow and white. The young couple
will reside at the home of the groom's parents, and he will
