received here last week announcing the marriage of Alton V.
Stallard, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Stallard, to Miss Helen
Bakkon of Lake Geneva, Wis. The nuptial ceremony was performed at
Woodstock, Ill., on June 19th, 1929. The newlyweds left immediately
on an auto trip through Wisconsin and Minnesota, and terminated at
Minneapolis, where the groom registered at the University of
Minnesota for the summer session. The bride is a
stranger to Humbird, Clark County, Wis. friends of Mr. Stallard.
She is a registered nurse and is most highly regarded in her home
city. Mr. Stallard is a
graduate of the Humbird High School, the Ripon College, and is
taking supplementary work at the University of Minnesota. He has
successfully taught in the high school at Merrill, Wis., and is now
a member of the faculty of the Northwestern Military Academy at
Lake Geneva, where he and his bride will make their future
home. Humbird friends
join in extending best wishes for a pleasant journey through life
