Haas, Nellie (7 AUG 1929)

A very pretty wedding took place at St. John's Church of South Milwaukee, on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 1929, at 9:30, when Mr. Edward Johannsen and Miss Nellie Haas were united in marriage, Rev. O. Heartl officiating.

The bride's sister, Mrs. J. C. Wheeler of St. Paul was matron of honor. Mr. Lawrence Delone of South Milwaukee was best man. The groom and best man wore dark blue suits. The bride was beautifully gowned in a dress of white silk trimmed with lace, and wore a tulle veil trimmed with rhinestones. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses and baby breath. The matron of honor wore a dress of orchid georgette and carried a bouquet of pink roses. The flower girl, Miss Ethel Haas of Jefferson, wore a white silk dress and beaded head band; she carried a basket of pink roses.

A wedding dinner was served at the home of Mr. Johannsen's brother in South Milwaukee. After dinner the couple left on a honeymoon trip to Neillsville and several other places.
