AUG 1929) A very pretty
wedding took place at St. John's Church of South Milwaukee, on
Wednesday, Aug. 7, 1929, at 9:30, when Mr. Edward Johannsen and
Miss Nellie Haas were united in marriage, Rev. O. Heartl
officiating. The bride's
sister, Mrs. J. C. Wheeler of St. Paul was matron of honor. Mr.
Lawrence Delone of South Milwaukee was best man. The groom and best
man wore dark blue suits. The bride was beautifully gowned in a
dress of white silk trimmed with lace, and wore a tulle veil
trimmed with rhinestones. She carried a shower bouquet of white
roses and baby breath. The matron of honor wore a dress of orchid
georgette and carried a bouquet of pink roses. The flower girl,
Miss Ethel Haas of Jefferson, wore a white silk dress and beaded
head band; she carried a basket of pink roses. A wedding dinner
was served at the home of Mr. Johannsen's brother in South
Milwaukee. After dinner the couple left on a honeymoon trip to
Neillsville and several other places. The bride is the
daughter of Mrs. Mary Haas of Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. She
graduated from the Neillsville High School in 1923. For the past
three and one-half years she has been working in the Westinghouse
Lamp Co. plant at Milwaukee. The groom is the
son of Mr. Henry Johannsen of Milwaukee. He has a very good
position at the New port Chemical Co., and is well liked by
everyone They will make
