Gericke, Hattie (28 NOV 1929)

A wedding of interest in this vicinity took place in Chicago Thanksgiving Day when Miss Hattie Gericke, daughter of Mrs. Minnie Markham, was married to O. A. Thomson of that city. The bride has had a splendid position as buyer for a large department store in Detroit, Mich., for several years and previously held a similar position with a large mercantile house in Chicago. She formerly lived with her parents on a farm south of Neillsville and has a wide circle of friends and acquaintances who have followed her rise in the business world with a great deal of interest. Miss Gericke spent several months in Neillsville this summer and fall, visiting at the home of her mother, and left a few days ago for Chicago, for the ceremony.

While Mr. Thomson is not known here, we are informed he is a man of sterling qualities and a very successful businessman in Chicago. The Press joins the many friends of the couple in extending congratulations and good wishes.
