Koffarnus, Judy R. ( 1 August 1949 – 27 April 2022)
Judy R. Koffarnus, age 72, of Colby, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.
Judy was born in Colby on August 1, 1949, the daughter of Oscar and Ruth (Scheibe)
Koffarnus. She graduated from Colby High School. Judy never married. She worked
at the Colonial Center in Colby as a CNA until retirement.
Judy was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford of which she was a
shepherd. She was involved with many community organizations in Colby and also
did a lot of fundraising for different organizations. Judy enjoyed reading,
listening to country music and spending time with family and friends.
Judy is survived by her sister, Cindy (Nels) Anderson of Abbotsford; one nephew
and seven nieces; great nephews and great nieces; great-great-nephews and
great-great-nieces, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Virginia and three
brothers, Kenneth, Roger and Oscar, Jr.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at First
Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford. Don Everhard will officiate. Family and
friends are welcome from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the
church. Burial will be in the Dorchester Memorial North Cemetery. The
Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is entrusted with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers and plants, the family requests memorials to First
Presbyterian Church.
