AUG 1856 - 25 Feb 1922) Mrs. John Beckman
died at St. Joseph's Hospital at Chippewa Falls, Saturday morning,
Feb. 25th, 1922, after an illness of seven weeks. Bertha Thielke
was born at Kiel, Wis., Aug. 4th, 1856. Here she grew to womanhood
and was united in marriage to John Beckman at Kiel, Wis. There were
ten children born to this union, six of which survive, Marth, Mrs.
Wm. Kenney, Ida, Mrs. E. Baumgarten, Laura, Mrs. Arthur Raether,
Clara, Mrs. Harry Baehr, Otto and George Beckman. Besides her
husband she leaves one sister and three brothers, and twenty-seven
grandchildren, an a large host of friends. The funeral of
Mrs. John Beckman took place yesterday from the Reformed Church,
Rev. A. C. Stapel officiating, interment following the services in
the Reseberg (Sylvan) Cemetery, Mrs. Beckman was numbered among the
early pioneers of this vicinity and enjoyed a large circle of
friends. Well May her children cherish her memory as a precious
