COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 05/18/1922 McCarthy, Taleda
(17 Feb 1901 - 9 May 1922) Miss Taleda
McCarthy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben McCarthy, died at the home
of her parents in this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) on
Tuesday evening, May 9th, 1922. Miss McCarthy was born her on Feb.
17, 1901, and about two years ago went to Eau Claire where she
attended a business college, after which she was employed in the W.
W. Skinner's Abstract office at Chippewa Falls. Nearly a year ago
she became ill and returned to her home here with symptoms of
tuberculosis, gradually failing until last week, which ender her
sufferings. It is sad, indeed, to see one so well equipped for life
taken so unexpectedly, yes for her there was no standing on the
border land, gazing into the unknown, for death came as the sunset
dies along the hills when the day is over. She leaves to mourn her
untimely death her father and mother, three sisters, Mildred,
Loretta and Eileen, two brothers, Emmett and Sylvester. The funeral took
place on Saturday morning last from St. Bernard's Church, Father
Neises officiating, interment following the services at the
Catholic Cemetery. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
