Carmien, Edwin (30 NOV 1862 - 13 Augl 1923)

Edwin Carmien, son of Pearson and Mary Carmien, was born at Ligonier, Noble Co., Indiana, Nov. 30, 1862 and departed this life Aug. 13, 1923, at his home in South Worden, Clark County, Wis., at the age of 60 years, 8 months and 12 days.

He was married on Nov. 27, 1895, to Miss Etta Jones Moses. To this happy union were born four daughters, Mrs. Ed Brandt, Mrs. Dewey Krueger, Vera and Maxine at home, all of who survive him. He is also survived by his wife and one sister, Mrs. Frank E. Meyers of Wolcottville, Indiana.

In 1900, Mr. and Mrs. Carmien moved to Phillips, Wis., where they resided for one year, after which they made their home in South Worden.

Mr. Carmien was a member of the Modern Woodmen, whose members acted as pallbearers.

His remains were laid to rest on Aug. 12th in the Stanley Cemetery after an appropriate service held at the home by Rev. Wilson Mallory of the Granton Christian Church.

Mr. Carmien will always be remembered in his family as a conscientious and faithful husband and father, and by his friends as a trustworthy member of his community.
