(6 Jul 1896 - 20 May 1924) Netta Marie, wife
of Henry Kolpien, passed away Tuesday morning May 20, 1924, at 6:30
after an illness of three and one-half years. At the time of her
death she was 27 years, 10 months and 14 days old. Mrs. Kolpien was
the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Engebretson, and was born
at Vardal, Norway July 6, 1896, coming to America with her parents
and one sister while at the age of nine years. The 5th of Dec. 1913
she was married to Henry Kolpien and lived on a farm south of
Thorp, , town of Worden, Clark County, Wis. She leaves to mourn her
loss, her loving husband, two adopted children, Leo, 13 years old,
and Vera, aged 9 years, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Engebretson
and two sisters, Carrie and Jennie, and a host of relatives and
friends. The funeral was held from her parent's home, Friday
afternoon at 1:30. Services were held at the house and also the
Eidsvold Lutheran Church, Rev. Midtlieu officiating. She was buried
in the Stanley Cemetery. She was loved by
all who knew her and was always a kind and good wife, mother,
daughter and sister. Of the long
illness she had, she never complained, always was satisfied and
