Mentor-Colby Farms Make Century Mark (State Fair - 1981)
A highlight of the 1981 Wisconsin State Fair for 126 Wisconsin families will be
on Wednesday, August 12, when they receive “Century Farm and Home” awards. In
that group are three farm families from Clark County.
Each will be presented with a metal plaque commemorating 100 years of continued
ownership of the farm by that same family.
From Clark County are the farms of Justin Gray and Richard and Winifred Herman,
both of the Town of Colby; and the farm operated by Bernard and Anne Scheffer
and Douglas and Joan Scheffer, Town of Mentor.
