COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 06/19/1924 Brunner, Michael
(7 Apr 1897 - 13 JUN 1924) Michael Brunner,
aged twenty-seven years, died at the home of his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Andrew Brunner, on Friday evening of last week, after an
illness of nearly two years. Deceased became affected with
tubercular trouble of the throat about two years ago. He tried
Montana climate, and spent the past winter in a sanitarium near Eau
Claire, but to no avail. He gradually got worse until death relived
him. He was born in this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) on
April 7, 1897, and attaining manhood followed the occupation of
section foreman. During the World War he served his country in the
navy. A large number of members of the American Legion Post No. 118
turned out in uniform to attend the funeral, which took place
yesterday morning from St. Bernard's Church, interment following
the services in the Catholic Cemetery. He leaves to mourn his
untimely death, his parents and three brothers and three sisters,
who have the sincere sympathy of the community in their
