COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 07/31/1924 Masty, Andrew
(1840 - 18 Jul 1924) Mr. Andrew Masty,
one of the old residents of the neighborhood of Thorp, Clark
County, Wis., died at his home on Friday, July 18, 1924. Mr. Masty
was confined to his bed for several months, his condition gradually
getting worse until the end. Deceased was born in Poland in 1840
and came to Manistee, Mich. in 1876. There he lived until 1889,
when he came to Thorp, where he has lived ever since. Mr. Masty was
married June 7, 1897 to Mrs. Agnes Karmarcyk. To this union three
children were born. Deceased was a good citizen and friend to all.
He leaves to mourn, his faithful wife and three children, Mrs.
Stanley Szerlong of Chicago, Frank Masty of Thorp, Mrs. Frank Heinl
of Chicago and a step-daughter, Mrs. Frank Wyczawski. All were
present at the funeral except Mrs. Stanley Szerlong. The funeral
service, which was largely attended, was held on Monday morning at
St. Hedwig's Church, Father Kulig officiating. Interment followed
