(14 Jul 1845 - 23 Augl 1924) Frank Nieman, Sr.,
one of the old residents of the neighborhood of Thorp, Clark
County, Wis., died at his home in the village Saturday evening,
Aug. 23, 1924, after a long and serious illness. Deceased was born
in Poland July 14, 1845. On Oct. 24, 1877, he was married to Miss
Agnes Pyszora. To this union seven children were born. In 1885 he
came to St. Joseph, Mo., where he lived ten years. He then came to
Thorp and lived on the farm, now occupied by his son, Stanley, for
twenty-eight years. About a year ago, he purchased the house from
St. Kujawski in Thorp, where he lived and died. Deceased was a
good citizen and friend to all. He leaves to mourn his faithful
wife and seven children, daughters, Mrs. P. J. Grabowski of St.
Paul, Mrs. A. Lesniewski and Mrs. J. Papierniak; sons, Frank,
