Orville R. Jake

Orville R. Jake, age 77, of Neillsville, died suddenly on Wednesday, April 15, 1998 at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.

Orville was born on July 6, 1920, in Lawrence, Wis. to the late William and Mabel (Haskins) Jake. He served in the 128th infantry, 32nd Army Division in the South Pacific during WWII, Be married Martha Raab on Aug. 24, 1946 at St. Mary:s Catholic Church in Neillsville. He loved being outdoors, fishing and bird feeding

He is survived by his vife Martha; daughters Lucy (Bill) Johnson of Colorado, Mary (Jerry) Burke of Oshkosh, Christine Jake of Madison, Wis.; grandchildren, Micahel Johnson of, Lisa Johnson, and Kristopher Burke; sisters, Iva Alhee of Cambria, Wis.; Ina Turner of Kirkland, Illinois; Marge Riley of New London, Wis.

A Memorial Mass was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 1998, at St. mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville with the Father Joseph Hensley officaiting. The family received friends one hour before to the service at the church. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Cremation Society of Wisconsin assisted the family with arrangements.
