Connor, daughter of Mrs. Nettie Connor, this city, was united in
marriage to George J. Dooley, Milwaukee, Tuesday, Aug. 26, 1924, at
9 o'clock, by the Rev. F. Ryon in the St. Mathew's Church of
Milwaukee. Bernice Burke and Frank Haas were the bridesmaid and
groomsman. The bride wore a pearl beaded white georgette crepe
dress and tulle veil with a train and orange blossom wreath. She
had on a string of pearl beads, a gift from the groom. The
bridesmaid was attired in an apricot trimmed gown with gold lace.
The church was decorated in late summer flowers. Mr. and Mrs. W. J.
McGrogan, Wis. Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Bogumill, Mellon, Wis.,
Ronald Connor, Wis. Rapids, Mrs. Dooley and daughter Ethel,
Chicago, Miss Blanche Carney, Duluth, Mrs. Frank Sheehan, Portage,
and Mr. and Mrs. Schenner of Waukesha were the out of town
guests. Following the
ceremony the party went to the Knights of Columbus club, decorated
with white flowers, green ferns and smilax, where a breakfast was
served. A reception at the club was held from 2 to 2:30. The bride taught
school the past three years in Wis. Rapids. The groom attended
Marquette University. He is in the real estate business. Mr. and Mrs.
Dooley will be at home to their friends at 435 Fifteenth Ave.,
Milwaukee, following a honeymoon trip to Eagle River, Mellon, St.
