COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 09/09/1926 Gorka, Rosie (4
APR 1875 - 2 Sep 1926) Mrs. Rosie Gorka,
aged 51 years, 4 months and 28 days, committed suicide at her home
in the town of Worden, Clark County, Wis., on Thursday last, by
taking a dose of paris green. Deceased was born in Poland and with
her husband, Roman Gorka, and two daughters, aged eleven and seven
years, and one son, aged twenty-one years, had been residents here
for only two months. Mrs. Gorka had been an inmate of the State
Asylum at Mendota for about two years and was evidently insane when
she committed the act. Undertaker J. G. Bogumill, upon being
notified, brought the remains here on Thursday evening and
interment took place in the Thorp Village Cemetery on Saturday
