2004 edition of the Clark County Press Doris E. Foemmel Doris E. Foemwel,
age 83, died June 4th at her home in Mesa, Arizona. She was born on
Oct. 27, 1920 in Clark County, to Edith N. (Watt) and Chester R.
Spry. She received her education at schools in Richland County and
Clark County, and graduated from Granton High School. After high
school, Doris provided homemaker services and also worked as a
waitress at the Merchants Hotel in Neillsville. On May 2, 1942,
Doris married Raymond H. Foemmel, of Granton. She was a homemaker
and together they operated their dairy farm until retirement in
1972. They lived in Granton until 1981 and then moved to
Neillsville for 10 years. In 1991, Doris and Raymond moved to
Loveland, Colo. to be near their daughters. They remained there
until relocating to Arizona in 2002. Doris was a member of Zion
Lutheran Church in Granton and Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in
Loveland, where she actively enjoyed the Keen-ager group. She
enjoyed her family, reading, writing in her journals, fancy work,
and especially her life's history of family photographs. Doris is survived
by her husband Raymond and three daughters, Joyce Elaine Rose and
JoyAnn Gold, both of Tucson, Ariz.; Janice (Jim) Mesal, of Mesa,
Ariz.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service
will be held on Saturday, June 12 at the Good Shepherd Villa
Chapel, 5848 E. University Drive, Mesa, Ariz. - 85205. Cremated ashes
