Dennis A. Jaenke

Dennis A. Jaenke, age 70, of Greenwood, died at the House of the Dove Hospice Home, in Marshfield, on Friday, May 28.

Dennis Arthur Jaenke was born on August 30, 1933 in the Town of Ludington, Eau Claire County, the son of Arnold and Louise (Raether) Jaenke. He was raised on the family farm and received his education at Woodland Valley School. After completing his education, Dennis worked as a farmhand for several local farmers, before entering the U.S. Army. He served in the Army from 1956 until 1958, at which time he was honorably discharged. He then lived in Cadott and worked for Weber-Biskey's Lumber Company in Fall Creek. Dennis later transferred to Weber-Biskey's Lumber Yard in Greenwood, where he took up residence. On June 23, 1962, Dennis was united in marriage to Carol Clouse at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Greenwood. In 1966, he started hauling can milk for Zimmer Brothers, and later became a self-employed bulk milk driver, hauling milk into Land 0' Lakes. He operated his route until retiring in 1998. Dennis loved spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, watching westerns and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Carol, of Greenwood; four daughters, Janet (Steve) Wilhelm; Kathy (Rod) Jakobi; Nancy Jaenke; Amy (Jared) Beauchamp, all of Marshfield; one son, Denny (special friend Theresa Spencer), of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Gunnar Wilhelm, Taylor and Logan Jakobi, Braden Beauchamp; his mother-in-law, Pearl Clouse, of Neillsville; one brother, Junior Jaenke, of Fall Creek; and one sister, Phyllis Peterson, of Altoona.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Elinar Jaenke.
